The Price of Success: Are You Ready?
When it comes to improving your health, it’s easy to focus on what you want, more energy, better strength, feeling good in your body. But lasting change also comes with a cost.
You don’t need to give up everything you enjoy, but you do need to let go of some habits or comforts that are keeping you stuck. That’s the price of success, and the real question is- are you willing to pay it?
Where you are today is the result of past choices, conscious or not. Creating a new future means making different ones now. That takes effort, consistency, and sometimes discomfort.
Here’s the thing. If you start before you’re truly ready, repeated false starts can make you doubt your ability to change at all. That’s why we reflect first to build clarity and confidence.
Ask Yourself:
What will you gain by improving your health now?
How will your life be better?
What might feel uncomfortable, and are you willing to face it?
Is this the right time?
Your honest answers will tell you if you’re ready to commit or if it’s best to pause and prepare. Either way, you’re building awareness and ownership.
And when you are ready, you won’t just make changes, you’ll keep them.
This Weekend’s Podcast Pick
Guest Podcast: Kendra Kinnison. CEO of Coach.me
In this episode of The Resilient Life Podcast, I sits down with Kendra Kinnison for a candid conversation about balancing a demanding professional life with long-term health and well-being. Kendra shares how years of high stress, poor habits, and physical pain led her to make intentional changes that transformed the way she works, moves, and thinks about success.
We discuss the link between health and leadership, why daily habits matter more than big breakthroughs, and how resilience can be built like a muscle. Kendra also opens up about self-experimentation, managing energy, supporting blood sugar health, and making healthy choices the default part of everyday life.
This episode is a practical, motivating reminder that success is not just about achievement, it’s about staying capable, clear, and resilient enough to keep showing up well for your work, your family, and yourself.
